Dry Dock (space 15) — Harborline reference
What the detention space at position 15 on Kiraya's Harborline map does when you land on it.
Learn by playingDry Dock is space 15 of 28 on Kiraya's Harborline map, and it is a detention space. Nobody can own it, so it charges no rent and never changes hands.
Being detained, and merely visiting
Dry Dock has two states that look the same on the board. You can stand on it harmlessly as a visitor, which costs nothing. You can also be sent here, by this space's counterpart across the board, by an event card, or by rolling doubles three times in a row.
A detained player may pay ⬡ 75 to leave, or try to roll doubles to get out free. After 2 failed attempts they pay the fee (waived if they cannot afford it) and move on, so nobody is stuck here permanently.
Detention is not purely a punishment. You still collect rent while you are here under standard rules, and you cannot land on anyone else's developed property while you sit still, which makes it a genuinely safe place to be late in a game when the board is built up.
