North Pier costs ⬡ 200 on Kiraya's Harborline map. Rent, building costs, mortgage values and its transit ladder.
Learn by playingNorth Pier is space 6 of 28 on Kiraya's Harborline map, and it is a transit space. It can be bought for ⬡ 200 by the first player who lands on it and chooses to, and it charges rent to everybody who lands on it afterwards.
What it costs and what it raises
| Value | Coins |
|---|---|
| Purchase | 200 |
| Mortgage cash raised | 100 |
| Redeem mortgage | 110 |
Mortgaging is the game's borrowing valve: it raises ⬡ 100 immediately, the deed stops earning while it is mortgaged, and buying it back later costs ⬡ 110. A player who is one payment short of bankruptcy can mortgage rather than lose the game, which is why it exists.
Transit rent scales with how many you hold
| Transit deeds held by one player | Rent |
|---|---|
| 1 | 25 |
| 2 | 50 |
| 3 | 100 |
| 4 | 200 |
Transit rent depends only on how many of the 4 the owner holds, never on which. Rent doubles at each step, from ⬡ 25 for one to ⬡ 200 for all 4, so the last one is worth far more than its price suggests.
Transit deeds take no buildings, which makes them the low-maintenance part of a position: they never need building money, and they keep earning while your cash goes into houses elsewhere. A mortgaged transit deed stops counting toward the owner's total, so mortgaging one quietly cuts the rent on the others.
