Salvador (space 2) — World Tour deed reference
Salvador costs ⬡ 60 on Kiraya's World Tour map. Rent, building costs, mortgage values and its Brazil set.
Learn by playingSalvador is space 2 of 36 on Kiraya's World Tour map, one of the Brazil cities. It can be bought for ⬡ 60 by the first player who lands on it and chooses to, and it charges rent to everybody who lands on it afterwards.
What it costs and what it raises
| Value | Coins |
|---|---|
| Purchase | 60 |
| Mortgage cash raised | 30 |
| Redeem mortgage | 35 |
Mortgaging is the game's borrowing valve: it raises ⬡ 30 immediately, the deed stops earning while it is mortgaged, and buying it back later costs ⬡ 35. A player who is one payment short of bankruptcy can mortgage rather than lose the game, which is why it exists.
Rent at every stage of development
| Development | Rent |
|---|---|
| No set or buildings | 7 |
| Complete unimproved set | 14 |
| 1 house | 28 |
| 2 houses | 70 |
| 3 houses | 126 |
| 4 houses | 182 |
| Hotel | 245 |
Rent starts at ⬡ 7 and reaches ⬡ 245 with a hotel, which is 35 times what a bare deed collects. That multiple, not the purchase price, is what makes a completed set decisive: the printed ⬡ 60 tells you almost nothing about what landing here costs late in a game.
Each building costs ⬡ 30 and sells back for 50% of that, so developing is easy to enter and expensive to reverse. A mortgaged property collects nothing at any level.
The Brazil set
Salvador is one of 3 cities in this group. You need all 3, with no mortgage anywhere in the group, before you can build on any of them.
- Salvador (this page)
- Rio (space 3)
- Sao Paulo (space 4)
Standard rules require even building: you improve the least-developed city in the group first, so a single street cannot be stacked with a hotel while its neighbours stay empty. The bank also holds a limited number of houses and hotels, so a late-game shortage can block development entirely.
